Nah, I think Brian has been at the Adnams (not that there is anything
wrong with that as its one of the pleasures of living in East Anglia).

Nope. I got our two local papers to see the coverage of our recent two-day
festival in Sutton, and they were rammed with "things going on of a summery
nature".

Better still, most of the events are either cheap or free.

I need to go to Ipswich in a few minutes from now. It is the
nearest branch of Wickes that has some molishing stuff that I need.
Other than that, I will be pleasantly surprised if I find 'much going
on'.

So was my father, in Blenheims.

Unsurprisingly, I don't remember him.

Not heavily, though I do remember the daily mailplane which flew over in
ye olden dayes - a Dragon Rapide, and fighter pilots training in Tiger
Moths, and the snarl of the Merlins that came back.

But then I lived near a front-line fighter station...

So yes, but not fanatically. Old guns and classic bikes. though -
that's a different matter.

Saw an odd one about 1.15 p.m. today - out of Old Buckenham. Looked to
be white, a smallish i.c.e. & prop job, not quite a delta wing, and with
the 'tail' halfway up the very pointy nose.

If I'd taken my camera out with me...

I saw a micro-light(?) yesterday - one o' thay with a flexible,
fabric wing - like wot para-gliders use, maybe.
After doing the business, I had breakfast al fresco at
Wetherspoon's 'Cricketers'. It was OK, except that it was too early to
serve ale (to have with breakfast).

Some years ago, I had a picnic lunch outside a French
supermarket - Le Clerk's? Ironically, they were closed for lunch, but
the lid of my 1977 BMW R60/7's pannier made a convenient table when
opened.

Disunremembers me - I have an R80 to strip, decorate, re-gearbox and
reassemble - (Now, I wonder where *these* bits came from?)

Jesus saves - but he does not get a very good interest rate at

We arranged for a flypast by the Battle Of Britain Squadron's Lancaster and
about 5 microlights.

That do?
